The second round of the Late Model Road Racing World Series will be broadcast live from Mosport on latemodelroad.com this Sunday at 22:30 GMT. Forty drivers are expected to join the action in their Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Late Models.
The 4 Km, 10-turn track is known for its fast and flowing layout, short of slow corners, and for featuring some of the thoughest overtaking spots to be found on road racing circuits around the world. Some even claim that Mosport is the fastest road course in North America and that a driver who is fast here will be fast everywhere.
No place for slow corners!
Coming from a pole and victory at Phillip Island, de Wit leads the championship standings ahead of Maillard and Claridge, with Rasch and Martini rounding out the top five. Starting from 20th, Cardoso took a hard charger bonus point, after finishing 10th. The online race had no shortage of intense battles and off-track excursions, leaving no doubt about how eventful the second round can be.
