Welcome back to This Week in iRacing, our weekly post that details all you need to know about what is going on in the world of iRacing!

As always, This Week includes topics ranging from official eSports to some of the top community-driven events, and everything in between.

NEW BUILD WEEK! Here’s what to expect from 2024 Season 3, Week 13, from September 3rd to September 9th, 2024.

For the Members: iRacing Official Series Highlights

Every week, iRacing offers daily, even hourly racing that members can get into, based on where their license level is at. There are also some special series that run at specific times that anyone can jump into, with the right credentials, that offer a more meaningful sim racing experience. 

Here are a few of the highlighted series taking place this week.

WEEK 13 SERIES

On Wednesday, September 4th, the 2024 Season 4 build is scheduled to release with new content and updates across the service. Members who want to get in on the new content will get the chance to do so in some of our curated week-long series.  This new content will also feature in various Week 13 festivities.

New Content and Features Series* for 2024 Season 3 Week 13 (*all start after build):

• 13^th Week GT3 Challenge – Fixed: GT3s (includes new McLaren, updated Spa/Zolder, new splitting algorithm; weather adjusted daily)
• 13^th Week Funny Forecast: TCR, GT4, Ford Mustang FR500S at Nurburgring Nordschleife (rain expected)
• 13^th Week Wet and Wild: BMW M4 F82 GT4, Renault Clio, Global Mazda MX-5 Cup, Toyota GR86 (updated Production Car Challenge roster)
• 13^th Week IR-18 Shakedown: Dallara IR-18 (push to pass update)
• 13^th Week Shiny New Shakedown: Mini Stock
• 13^th Week Muddy Mess: Dirt Mini Stock
• 13^th Week iRacing Legends Cup: Legends on Cadwell Park
• 13^th Week iTested: GT3 and GT4 (new splitting algorithm)

NASCAR iRACING SERIES

Back in 2024, the NASCAR iRacing Series (Open Setup and Fixed Setup) follows the NASCAR Cup Series schedule for a 36-week racing season. Week 27 is set to take place at Atlanta Motor Speedway, a 130-lap event which utilizes the NASCAR Next Gen Stock Cars from Chevrolet, Ford and Toyota.

The races this week are scheduled for:

Fixed Schedule: Wednesday, 21:00 GMT; Friday, 01:00 GMT; Saturday, 10:00 and 16:00 GMT; Monday, 01:00 GMT
Open Schedule: Thursday, 01:00 and 19:00 GMT; Saturday, 01:00 GMT; Sunday, 14:00 GMT
