Majeski Takes World Series Super Late Model Lead
February 20th, 2015 by Jaime Baker
For the second time in as many races, Ty Majeski stormed back from some early misfortune to grab a strong finish in the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway last night. After starting fourth, Majeski got caught up in a Lap One crash and took the restart in P24. Up to tenth spot just past the midpoint of the 50 lap race, Majeski grabbed 7th spot by Lap 34 and moved up another position with four laps remaining to bring the iRacing Ford Fusion home in sixth place.
Majeski’s strong comeback drive vaulted him to the top of the World Series Super Late Model standings and with two races remaining (tonight’s 35 lapper and Saturday’s 100 lap finale) he leads Garrett Jones by a single point (271-270) with Zane Smith (268), Steven Wallace (260) and Joseph Mucciacciaro (254) completing the top five.
