For this week of the iRacing Staff Member highlight series, we’ve got one of the folks behind all of the incredible art and graphics around the many facets of the iRacing service. From logos to posters, and many things in between, Larry is leading the charge in making iRacing look good. Here’s more about iRacing’s Senior Creative and Graphics Manager, Larry Fulcher.

Larry’s grandfather’s dirt car, raced all over Southwest Mo.

  • Who are you, and what is your job title at iRacing?

I’m Larry Fulcher, Senior Creative and Graphics Manager on the Marketing Team.

  • How long have you been working at iRacing?

Just over a year!

  • What got you interested in working for iRacing?

I have played racing games forever, and grew up in a family that did a lot of Dirt Racing.

It seemed like a perfect fit.

Many of the posters that Larry has worked on for some of the iRacing Special Events this year!

  • What does your job entail, from daily tasks to larger projects?

There are some big updates coming to the website experience, and some of it you may have already seen with the revamp of the main iRacing site as well as the launch of the new ExoCross website. That’s all I can say for now…

  • What are some of your favorite car and track combinations on iRacing to participate in?

Larry’s car of choice in the GT4 category.

You can usually find me racing in GT4. Put me in one of those at Sebring, and I’ll be happy, for sure.

  • Are there any other video games, racing or not, that you enjoy playing currently?

I have played Forza Motorsport for years, even run a weekly spec league. We also play a ton of Mario Kart and Mario Party in our house.

  • Outside of iRacing, what other hobbies do you enjoy?

Weight lifting and Cycling. I do at least one Century ride (100 miles) a year.

  • What are some of your goals you hope to achieve, either at work or outside of it?

Larry’s bike in Minnesota.

I would love to really push the creative and brand into a modern look that adapts as we grow. Some of this has already started if you have seen any of the special event posters from this year.

  • Anything else we should know about you?

I’m really tall. I was also the Oklahoma State Pedal Tractor champion when I was little, and did other garden tractor pulls as a kid. (pictured below)

  • How tall are we talking here? Is it more reaching the top shelf at a grocery store or dunking a basketball without jumping?

I’m 6’10”, so it’s more like dusting all the ceiling fans tall… Not quite dunking without jumping.
