Students, want to apply your passion for motorsport to the classroom? iRacing and the InterNational STEM League have partnered to create a unique program that challenges students to get hands-on with all aspects of the iRacing experience, from hardware to software and even marketing.

Designed with the help of NTT IndyCar Series driver Dalton Kellett, the INSL iRacing Student Innovation Challenge first sees teams develop their own peripherals and simulator rigs, before getting on track and applying their knowledge of racing physics to build the most effective setups and turn the quickest lap times. Off track, students are also responsible for developing their own budgets and public relations plans. The 50 teams that score the most points in the qualifying rounds will then be awarded free iRacing memberships to compete in a three-month series of race events and determine an overall champion!

Applications for the inaugural INSL iRacing Student Innovation Challenge are open now, with preliminary rounds running from October to January and the racing series itself running from February to April. For more information on the series and to apply, click here.
