For its second event of the 2023 campaign, the iRacing Off-Road Championship Series will take on “The Big House” and Crandon International Raceway on Wednesday night. Coverage kicks off at 8PM ET across iRacing social media channels with All-Star action featuring top real-world drivers and Twitch streamers, while the 24 top off-road sim racers in the world will resume their battle for a $25,000 purse at 9PM ET.

Last Race: It was a mix of last year’s front-runners and newcomers running up front in the season opener from Wild West Motorsports Park, as 2022 runner-up Keaton Swane outdueled rookie Joel Blewitt to win the opening race and rookie Jarrett Liebert led flag to flag in the second. Back-to-back podiums for Swane enabled him to take a six-point lead on defending champion Connor Barry out of the Nevada desert.

Last Year: Crandon’s first event of 2022 was last year’s opening round of the season, with teammates Cam Pedersen and Connor Barry taking the two race victories. Pedersen led flag to flag in the first round of the brand new season, while Barry made the winning pass on Swane in the final turn of the second round.

Track Facts: Crandon International Raceway has played host to the World Championship Off-Road Races for more than half a century, and the spring Brush Run for 30 years. The 1.5-mile track’s most unique feature compared to any other track on the schedule is its famed “land rush” start, where all trucks line up side by side and launch together.

Next Up: Following Crandon, the iRacing Off-Road Championship Series will return to Bark River International Raceway on Wednesday, July 12. Four different racers won the four rounds from the Michigan track last year, including one of the closest finishes of the year when Josh Fox beat Tommi Hallman in a photo finish.
