It comes as no surprise that an iRacer who lists Big Bang Theory as his favorite television show should drive for SkullGeek Racing.  It’s a name only Sheldon Cooper, Leonard Hoftstadter  — and Samuel Doughty and a few thousand iRacers – could love.   On the other hand, what are the chances that an iRacer who lists the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series as his favorite real world racing series would like to see the Circuit de la Sarthe and Toyota TS030 Hybrid added to the service?

If you get the idea that Samuel Doughty is not utterly predictable, you’re on the right track.  The Daytona Beach resident is full of surprises.  For example, a guy who ran nearly double the number of oval races as road courses in his first couple of years on the iRacing now has more road course races to his credit than ovals and, heading into the final week of 2012 S3, leads his divisions in both the Star Mazda Championship and the Pontiac Solstice class of the iRacing Grand Touring Cup.  Not to worry, Doughty has hardly forsaken the ovals or cars like the Impala Class A and Chevy Silverado.  It’s just that when he says his motto is “tearing up the tracks, one byte at a time” these days he means ovals and road courses alike.
