Why race pick-up trucks? For starters, they’re arguably the most popular automotive vehicle in America, with upwards of 2 million new pickups sold every year in the United States. And they’re a blast to race, particularly the trucks of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. With 625 horsepower pushing their 3450 pounds around super speedways, ovals, short tracks and the occasional road course, NASCAR’s trucks are fun to watch and challenging to drive.

No manufacturer has had more fun in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series than Chevrolet, and its Silverado is all new and updated for iRacing in 2019. The Bow Tie contingent won the series’ first four manufacturer titles in 1995-98 and hasn’t looked back. While other manufacturers have come (and, in some cases, gone), Chevrolet has remained committed to the world’s fastest truck racing series as its teams and drivers keep racking-up race wins and series championships.
