Rockingham Speedway played host to the tenth week of the season for the NASCAR iRacing.com Class B Series. A fixture on the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series for years, Rockingham was brought back to light by Andy Hillenburg and staff in 2008. 134 sim-racers would take to the high banked mile oval for Week 10.
Brandon Buie would lead the series after a tough week. Buie collected 286 points in his one start during the week, bettering second placed Brad Patton who earned 268 points in two starts. Series points leader Simon Crochart was third with 250 points in his lone start of the week, while Steven Eszenyi and Anthony Kernich rounded-out the top five in points at Rockingham.
Simon Crochart topped the week’s qualifiers with a 23.099 second lap time. Trey Jarrell turned a fast lap of 23.120s, good for second best ahead of Dan DeNayer, Anthony Kernich and Steve Segro. DeNayer led the series in starts for the week with four, taking three wins to lead all comers in that category as well.
With his 250 point week, Crochart strengthened his series lead over Ashley Miller and now enjoys a 387 point cushion as the series moves on to the Lone Star state. Alex Scribner sits third followed by Tom Moustakas in fourth and Jeffery Parker in fifth.
The NASCAR iRacing.com Class B Series heads to the Texas Motor Speedway for Week 11 of the season, and the final 1.5 mile track of the season.
