2025 Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup | Race Preview: Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
February 14th, 2025 by Justin Melillo
The Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup continues on Saturday with the third race of the 2025 season at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. 30 of the best sim racers in the world are looking for their share of this season’s $200,000 purse. This particular venue returns for the first time since the 2023 season, a place last won at by Alessandro Bico and Jordan Caruso.
Live streaming of the events will begin on Saturday at 18:00 GMT (1PM ET) via Porsche’s channels on YouTube and Twitch with the return of the Porsche All-Star series. The Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup pro drivers will take off one hour afterwards, at 19:00 GMT (2PM ET).
Last Race:
Last week, it was a foggy afternoon for a debut at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello. Alejandro Sanchez scored the TAG Heuer Pole Award, but lost out late after a lunge from Jordan Caruso in the Sprint. After the invert, Oscar Py took the field to the green in the Main. Diogo Pinto took the lead on the second lap, but Sebastian Job had the pace behind. With four laps to go and after an intense lap of side-by-side racing between the two former champions, Job prevailed for his first win of the season.
Last Season:
The last time that the series ran at Spa was back in 2023. Alessandro Bico took the pole and Sprint race victory, and down at the invert, Sebastian Job finished eighth to take the Main race pole. Jordan Caruso had other plans, taking the lead away for the victory. In the third race of the 2024 season, the series visited Circuit de la Sarthe where Sebastian Job and Cooper Webster split the victories.
Track Facts:
Home to one of the most legendary corners in motorsports, the famed Eau Rouge, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps has played host to both the Belgian Grand Prix and Spa 24 Hours for the better part of the last century. The original track configurations were each more than eight miles long, while the current 4.3-mile, 20-turn layout began to take shape in 1979 and has only seen relatively slight alterations since.
All Stars:
The PESC All-Stars are back in 2025 with one of the biggest star-studded lineups in series history. eNASCAR champion Casey Kirwan was victorious in the 2024 PESC All-Stars championship, winning his second title in a row, this time over Pablo “Pulpo” Lopez. Kirwan, Lopez, and other champions such as Emree and Quirkitized return in 2025, with many real world drivers taking part on occasion, such as Tony Kanaan and perhaps a few other surprises throughout the season.
Last week, Pablo “Pulpo” Lopez was the fastest out of the gate in the Porsche 911 GT3R event, winning the pole and opening race. After the invert, Casey Kirwan was able to get to the front and score his second win of the 2025 season.
Next Up:
After Spa, the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup and the All-Stars will take a break before the fourth race of the season, the Mid-Season Tournament at the Sachsenring. The Spa events are scheduled for Saturday, February 15th, and will be live starting at 18:00 GMT (1PM ET) via Porsche’s channels on YouTube and Twitch with All-Stars on tap first. The Supercup races will take off one hour afterwards, at 19:00 GMT (2PM ET).
